Watermarks: Baptism and iMovie

By Jannet Walsh
Murdock, Minnesota

I shot the video at today’s baptism in Murdock to test how to place a picture in picture while editing video with iMovie ’11, possibly with earlier editions of iMovie might work, with video shot from iPhone. The tiny picture or logo can be placed with great ease on the screen, but must be no larger than 175 by 85 pixels. You can enlarge and freely move the image.

The key is to go to preferences in iMovie and select Show Advanced Tools. Simply drop the image over the video and adjust size and length. You must select the video you are wanting to use the watermark. You can also add a subtitle under the image and reduce the transparency of the subtitle. My video has an example of the watermark located in various places to give you a few creative ideas.

Learn how to place a watermark, a small picture in a video, when editing video on iMovie. Watch this video and learn.
